About this land
Public Descr.: 'Truly special' is often overused in real estate descriptions. However, when you drive through the stone pillars of 'The Cabin at Abby Farms', as the driveway rises and the property comes into full view, that description fits. Nestled in the hills of southeast Ohio this property combines town and country to offer a distinctive, special charm. Beginning life as a log cabin with soaring ceilings and the gleaming cherry floors it was expanded to reflect a more refined feeling with the tastefully designed modern addition. This property combines the warmth and charm of a log home with the upscale sophistication of the addition of the owner's wing. The sides of the house are connected with a butlers pantry complete with refrigerator and dishwasher for easy entertaining. In keeping with the architecture of the main house a guest cottage and three car garage were added. All improvements to the property reflect the owner's commitment to keeping the integrity of the property. Amenities include 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathrooms, geo thermal heating and cooling, stocked pond, whole house generator, standing seam roofs, and top of the line building materials. The door handles to the wrap around deck are a work of art created by nationally known sculptor David Hostettler. Flower beds, formal garden and an authentic red English phone booth add to the uniqueness of The Cabin at Abby Farms. Executive retreat (four miles to the Ohio University airport) wedding venue, a few guest cottages to become a short term rental business or enjoy this peaceful, private property as you own.
